Earlier this week, the Honor 50 series was officially unveiled by the company at a product launch conference. During this event, the brand’s CEO stated that the company will also seek to compete with Apple in the future and will make products that could soon rival or even surpass the iPhone maker.
The Chinese smartphone maker’s CEO, Zhao Ming, made the announcement during the Honor 50 series launch and believes that the brand is bound to see a breakthrough in the near future. The senior official added that Apple is currently on the rise, especially after Huawei saw a sharp decline in the industry due to US sanctions. So, the ex-subsidiary of the Chinese tech giant needs to match or even surpass Apple’s products in terms of performance and user experience, as per the executive.
Zhao Ming believes that competition is the most important thing in the high end smartphone market, since it would help it polish its product offerings and technology. He further added that while many flagship graded devices offer the top end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, the experience offered to the customers varies greatly in the high end market. In other words, good specifications alone do not signify a better user experience. It remains to be seen how the brand performs in the global market in the near future, so stay tuned for more updates.
