Sony India has underscored the premium it places on World Music Day by unveiling the SRS-XB13 Extra BASS portable wireless speaker for the Indian market. The portable wireless speaker was launched on Monday (June 21) and will be sold for Rs. 3990 ($54) to music lovers in the subcontinent.Sony

The Sony portable wireless speaker comes with a unique strap that enhances its portability as a travel companion. The Extra Bass Sound Diffusion processor delivers excellent audio to listeners of the device, with its 5W output. The wireless speaker also has water-resistant and dust-resistant capability with its IP67 rating.

The Sony SRS-XB13 EXTRA BASS wireless speaker can be combined with another unit or other models to provide a resounding sound output, using its Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity support. The wireless speaker has fast connectivity using Bluetooth to give a seamless connection to Android devices. The wireless speaker also has a decent battery life of about 16 hours of entertainment on a full charge.

Gyanendra Singh, Head of the Audio Business unit of Sony India, in his remarks on the launch of the wireless speaker, said that the SRS-XB13 would be a massive choice for youngsters because of its excellent sound quality, portability, and versatility. The wireless speaker can double as an outdoor and indoor speaker, extending to poolside parties, as it is water-resistant. A few color variants of the Sony SRS-XB13 EXTRA BASS wireless speaker are available directly from Sony retail shops and selected outlets, including Amazon India from June 21. The colors available currently are pink, blue, taupe, and black, all priced at Rs. 3,990 (about $54), as stated earlier.
