A new report has revealed that Apple might be planning on further exploring with its iPads lineup of tablets. Currently, the 12.9 inch iPad Pro variant is the largest iPad available at the moment, but this could soon change as the company might be looking to release future iPads with larger screens.

According to a 9To5Mac report, Mark Gurman recently stated that new iPad screen size might be arriving in the near future. The known Apple analyst stated that the iPhone maker is still exploring with its iPads. The Cupertino based giant is rumored to be developing a redesigned iPad chasis with a rear glass cover for 2022, which is expected to ship in the existing 11 inch and 12.9 inch display sizes.

Furthermore, Gurman also speculated that the larger screens might even further make it harder to differentiate the company’s tablets and laptops. In other words, with the productivity based capabilities of the iPad rising, Apple might launch larger screen variants to further supplement the tablets multitasking and productive functionalities that could rival MacBooks. As of right now, the 16 inch MacBook model is the largest laptop offering from the company.

Interestingly, the inclusion of a glass back cover on upcoming iPad models would also imply the arrival of wireless charging for the first time. This could also have the iPad also support reverse wireless charging as well. Unfortunately, this is still an unconfirmed report so take this news with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates regarding this matter.
