Design

Despite it is the vanilla version, the Realme Narzo 30 5G has a more attractive design. With that stripe on the left, it looks very futuristic and original while offering a thinner body than the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G, even though it has the same battery capacity. The vanilla Narzo 30 5G is even lighter than its Pro variant, and this makes it even more attractive when it comes to aesthetics. Both the phones have narrow bezels, a punch-hole design, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader, as well as a rectangle-shaped camera module and a polycarbonate body.

Display

Realme Narzo 30 5G and Narzo 30 Pro 5G are equipped with exactly the same display. It is an IPS panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate, a diagonal of 6.5 inches, a 480 nits typical brightness, and a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. We are not talking about a high-end panel and neither a great midrange panel, but it is sufficient for every kind of user for both detail and image quality. Further, its good refresh rate will please gamers and those who want a smoother viewing experience. Given that it is an IPS panel, it does not provide the deepest colors and it does not integrate a fingerprint reader. It is an average panel like the ones you can often find on a lower-midrange phone.

Specs & Software

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G is able to provide superior performance to the vanilla Nazro 30 5G because of its stronger processor. It is a Dimensity 800U by MediaTek, a definitely better SoC compared with the Dimensity 700 found on its more affordable sibling. Further, with the Pro variant, you can also get more RAM: up to 8 GB. The internal storage of the most expensive variant is the same for both handsets: 128 GB. But the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G also comes in a version with 64 GB of storage offering a higher value for money. Note that Narzo 30 Pro 5G has Android 10 out of the box, while Narzo 30 5G has Android 11.

Camera

Realme Narzo 30 5G and 30 Pro 5G have a triple camera department which includes the same main sensor: a 48 MP camera with an f/1.8 focal aperture. You can find this kind of sensor on most of the lower mid-range phones in the market: it is able to click good photos in good light conditions, but not amazing ones. The Pro variant differs from the vanilla version due to the presence of an additional 8 MP ultrawide camera paired with a 2 MP macro camera, while the standard Narzo 30 5G has just a pair of 2 MP sensors for macros and depth calculations. The front cameras are the same: a 16 MP sensor with f/2.1 focal aperture. These phones are able to record 4K videos from the rear camera and 1080p videos from the front camera.

Battery

At last, Realme Narzo 30 5G and Narzo 30 Pro 5G feature the same battery capacity: 5000 mAh. Their chipsets are built with the same production process and the display is the same, so they provide more or less the same battery life. The Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G wins the fast charging comparison with a power of 30W, while Narzo 30 5G has just 18W.

Price

Realme Narzo 30 5G is priced at Rs. 15,999 / $215 in India, while the Pro version costs Rs. 16,290 / $220. If we exclude that the vanilla Narzo 30 5G has Android 11 out of the box while the Pro variant has Android 10, the Narzo 30 Pro 5G is definitely a better phone and it even offers a higher value for money with the actual prices.
