The Apple iPhone 12 series has already seen great success in the smartphone market. But now, a new report has revealed that the company’s shipments of the 2020 iPhone lineup have already crossed 100 million units.

According to a Counterpoint Research report, the Cupertino based giant’s iPhone 12 lineup sales have already surpassed the 100 million mark in just seven months of its launch. Furthermore, the brand managed to achieve this milestone two months earlier than its predecessor, the iPhone 11 series. Notably, the US was a key market, with the region accounting for 40 percent of the global iPhone 12 Pro Max sales alone between the months December 2020 and April 2021.

Apple also saw a rise in the average selling price for its iPhones during this time, with its top end model the iPhone 12 Pro Max starting from 1,099 US Dollars. The report further added that the company’s revenue from the iPhone 12 series was more by 22 percent than the iPhone 11 within the first seven months of its launch.

Although, the various other smartphone OEMs also saw growth overall since the market saw frantic buying from consumers post the Coronavirus pandemic. On the other hand, the overall market saw a sales decline of 12.5 percent last year. Counterpoint also added that the iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12, and iPhone 12 Pro models also held the top three spots in the smartphone market, with the three devices alone accounting for 22 percent of all sales.
