The realme 7 launched in the second half of 2020 as the direct successor of the realme 6 from earlier that year. Just like its predecessor, it also debuted with realme UI based on Android 10. The brand opened Android 11-based realme UI 2.0 Early Access registrations for this handset at the end of December. Six months later, the phone has finally started receiving the stable Android 11 update.

According to multiple user posts (via GSMArena) on the realme Community, the Chinese smartphone maker has started rolling out realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) stable update for realme 7. The latest system update for the handset arrives with firmware version RMX2151_11_C.08.

The handset maker is yet to announce the update rollout officially. Hence, we are not sure which firmware version is required to receive the Android 11 stable update on realme 7.

We believe the update is being rolled out in batches like any other OTA system update. Therefore, the build may take some time to hit all the units. Anyway, all realme 7 users should be able to experience realme UI 2.0 in the coming days.

For those unaware, realme UI 2.0 is based on ColorOS 11 with some tweaks here and there. Hence, the core features of the two Android skins are exactly the same. Having said that, since realme 7 is a budget smartphone, it may not support all the new features.
