OPPO Reno6 5G, Reno6 Pro 5G Specifications and Feaures

The primary highlights of the OPPO Reno6 5G and the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G are Reno Glow design and Bokeh Flare Portrait Video. You can learn more about them from here.

Display

The Reno6 5G sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 410 PPI, 16.7 million colors, and 93.28% DCI-P3 color gamut. The panel has a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 600 nits peak brightness (typical), and 91.7% screen-to-body ratio.

On the other hand, the Reno6 Pro 5G flaunts a 6.55-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of  2400 x 1080 pixels, 402 PPI, 16.7 million colors, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The screen comes with a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 800 nits peak brightness (typical), and 92.1% screen-to-body ratio.

The displays on both phones feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor and are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5

Chipset and Software

The vanilla Reno6 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. It is the first smartphone to launch with this chip in India. The silicon is paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

Whereas, the Reno6 Pro 5G houses a MediaTek Dimensiy 1200 SoC underneath it. This chipset is coupled with 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Anyway, both phones run the brand-new ColorOS 11.3 based on Android 11. The new version of OPPO’s mobile operating system arrives with multiple device-specific AI camera features and a RAM expansion feature.

Camera

The Reno6 5G has a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit (119° FOV), and a 2MP macro snapper. For selfies and video calls, the phone uses a 32MP front-facing shooter.

The Reno6 Pro 5G, on the other hand, comes with a quad-camera setup on the rear and a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The primary camera setup includes a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide unit (120° FOV), 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP monochrome sensor.

Connectivity

As the name suggests, both the phones support 5G connectivity but India still does not have networks. Like any other upper mid-range smartphone, they support dual-SIM dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, NFC, and USB Type-C.

Unfortunately, they neither come with a 3.5mm headphone jack nor feature a MicroSD card slot.

Battery and Charging

Both the OPPO Reno6 series models support 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging. However, the battery of the vanilla model is slightly lower at 4,300mAh as compared to a  4,500mAh cell inside the Pro variant.

Dimensions, Weight, and Colors

The OPPO Reno6 series arrives in two colors – Aurora and Stellar Black. The vanilla model measures 156.8 x 72.1 x 7.59mm in dimensions and weighs 182g. Whereas, the dimensions and weight of the Pro variant are 160 x 73.1 x 7.6mm and 177g respectively.
