Indian phone brand Lava has launched a new handset in its home country. This device called Lava Z2s is an entry-level smartphone with a large display, a high-capacity battery, and an octa-core processor. Let’s take a look at what his product has to offer.

The newly announced Lava Z2s flaunts a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels (HD+), 263 PPI, and 16 million colors. The screen has a dewdrop notch, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The device is powered by an unspecified MediaTek Helio octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. On the connectivity front, the handset supports dual-SIM, 4G, single-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Interestingly the phone only includes two essential sensors – an accelerometer and a proximity sensor. However, it runs the latest Android 11 Go Edition instead of Android 10 Go Edition like budget smartphones from similar smaller brands.

Other features include an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, a MicroSD card slot (up to 512GB), and a 5,000mAh battery.

Last but not least, the Lava Z2s measures 164.5 x 75.8 x 9.0mm in dimensions, weighs 190g, and comes in a single Striped Blue color option.

The Lava Z2s is priced at ₹7,099 in India. It can be purchased from Flipkart, Amazon, Lava e-store, and 100k+ retail stores across the country.

At the moment, the product can be ordered from Amazon, however, it is said to come in stock on July 26. Flipkart says ‘Coming Soon’ and there’s no option to order on the Lava e-store.
