Apple is rumored to launch its next-generation iPad Mini this year and ahead of the launch, details about the upcoming tablet keep surfacing online. Now, a new report reveals the screen size of the iPad Mini 6.

The report, coming from Ross Young, claims that the device will come with an 8.3-inch display and will feature narrow bezels. Earlier, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had said that the device could feature a screen size between 8.5-inch and 9-inch.

There were rumors about the new iPad Mini adopting a Mini-LED display but those have been debunked. The information in the new report is pretty much in line with the previous report which suggested that the new iPad Mini will come with thinner and uniform bezels and will get rid of the home button at the bottom of the screen.

Design-wise, the product is said to have a similar look to the fourth-generation iPad Air. Previously, it was revealed that the upcoming iPad Mini, which carries codename J310, will come powered by the Apple A15 Bionic chipset, which is expected to power the upcoming iPhone 13 lineup as well.

It is also said that the product will now come with a USB Type-C port instead of the company’s proprietary Lightning port. The device will still have support for Touch ID which will be embedded on the side.

Recently, it was reported that Apple could be launching an updated version of the entry-level 10.2-inch iPad in the month of September which will be powered by the Apple A13 Bionic chipset, looking similar to the iPad Air 3 model which was launched in 2019.
