Samsung released One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 in late 2020. Earlier this year, the company introduced One UI 3.1 with the launch of the Galaxy S21 series. Six months later, the South Korean tech giant has now started testing One UI 3.1.1.

According to TizenHelp, a moderator on the Samsung Members community forum has revealed that One UI 3.1.1 will be released for the Galaxy S21 series around the end of August. This means the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3, which are expected to hit the shelves about the same time will likely debut with this version of the software.
Further, as per the CheckFirm app (via SamNext), Samsung has already started testing One UI 3.1.1 for the Galaxy S21 series. Hence, the update should indeed arrive by the end of next month.
Unfortunately, nothing is known about the next iteration of One UI. Going by One UI 2.5 and One UI 1.5, which are the predecessors of One UI 3.1.1, the new version should mostly bring new features for premium smartphones and tablets.
We expect to learn more about these features and supported devices with the launch of Samsung’s next foldables. Maybe, we will get to know about them beforehand via firmware code. Until then, all we can do is wait.
