Earlier this month, a tipster hinted that Samsung was planning to upgrade the Galaxy A52 with the launch of a new model which will likely be known as Galaxy A52s 5G. The model number was also revealed to be SM-A528B. Now, a new Samsung Galaxy model bearing the same model number Samsung SM-A528B has appeared on GeekBench database.
The GeekBench listing shows that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor which is the same chipset utilised by the upcoming Galaxy M52. The benchmark test shows that the Snapdragon 778G has a superior performance over the Snapdragon 750G used on the well-received Galaxy A52 5G.
The device recorded a score of 771 on the singlecore test while the multicore test score is 2788, just a little lower than the performance of the Exynos 2100 onboard the flagship Galaxy S21 series.
Further, the GeekBench listing shows that the Galaxy A52s will have up to 8GB RAM. There will likely be other RAM sizes just like the Galaxy A52 features a 6GB RAM version. The device will also run on Android 11 out-of-the-box but will likely get upgraded to Android 12 next year.
The Galaxy A52s is also rumoured to come in three colour options: black, white, and light green but there could be more. There is no word yet on the launch date though, but we expect the launch to happen later in the year.
