Samsung has been busy with the release of the One UI 6.0 beta program for the Galaxy S23 series. However, they have also been releasing monthly security patches for their other devices. The latest August 2023 security patches is now available for two Samsung mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A04s and Galaxy A52s. This update does not include any new features or additions to the One UI, but it is an important security patch. 

Samsung Galaxy A04s, Galaxy A52s receives August security patch update

Samsung has released the August 2023 security patch for the Galaxy A04s in several countries, including the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, and Panama.

Users in these regions can download the update by going to Settings> Software update> Download and Install. The August firmware version for the Galaxy A04s update is A047MUBS4CWG1.

The Galaxy A52s has also received the August 2023 security patch in Austria, Nordic countries, Luxembourg, Switzerland, South-East Europe, and Hungary. The firmware version for the A52s update is A528BXXS4EWGB.

These updates do not include the highly anticipated One UI 6.0 update. But both the Galaxy A04s and A52s are eligible for the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update, which is expected to be released at a later date, possibly next year.

Samsung releases monthly security patches for all of its devices, from budget to flagship. These patches may not be as exciting as new features, but they are essential for protecting your device from malware and other threats. So it’s important to keep your device up to date with the latest security patches.
