The news arrives from AdDuplex, who shared the information is its latest Windows usage report that now also includes Windows 11. Furthermore, the data is based on information collected from about 5,000 applications that use AdDuplex SDK version 2 or higher. It was also collected on 26th July 2021, with the company noting that there were a total of 60,000 PCs that were surveyed.

At the moment, the latest Windows operating system version is being run on 0.9 percent of the PCs that were surveyed by AdDuplex. The report also added that there are still 0.2 percent of systems running the Insider version of Windows 10 OS, which could possibly be the 21H2 build. The figure is really small due to the very limited availability of the 21H2 build. The only way to be in on this version is to be kicked off of the Beta channel for not meeting Windows 11 system requirements. Meaning, you can’t even choose to get this version.

The last Windows usage report arrived back in April and had found that the Windows 10 version 2004 was still the most popular version of the operating system. Notably, the system requirements have also been raised significantly with Windows 11. Now, fewer PCs will be able to upgrade to the latest version.
