A few days ago, it was reported that Vivo will be launching a new smartphone in the Indian market, dubbed Vivo Y33s. While the phone’s specs were leaked, now a new report claims that the device will go official in India on 23rd August.

The smartphone is said to be available through offline stores after its launch on Monday but we expect it to be available for purchase via online stores as well. The Vivo Y33s was also spotted on Amazon by folks at 91 Mobiles, with a price tag of ₹17,990 (~$242).

Based on the earlier leaks, the smartphone will feature a 6.58-inch Halo FullView display with a Full-HD+ screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, offering a 90.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a blue light filter.

Under the hood, the device will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 4GB of virtual RAM. The phone will also have 128GB internal storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 1TB capacity.

As for the cameras, there will be a triple-camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel bokeh sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front side, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

It will also come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. In the software department, the device will be running the Android 11 operating system with FunTouch OS 11.1 on top. It will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
