Earlier this month, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 4 series including the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic in the global markets. The new smartwatches are yet to be shipped and ahead of it, Samsung seems to have already pushed a firmware update for these watches.

According to the update log, the firmware version is R8xxXXU1BUH5 and it has a size of 290.52MB. The update will enhance the watch’s stability. It includes bug fixes, enhancements to current functions, and an overall improvement in performance.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Given that the software upgrade rolled out immediately after the launch, it appears that Samsung is committed to the support of the new smartwatches.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 comes in two dials – 40mm and 44mm. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has bigger sizes – 42mm and 46mm. The Watch 4 has a 1.19-inch AMOLED display and runs on OneUI Watch 3(based on WearOS 3). It has a display resolution of 396 x 396 pixels. The Watch 4 Classic sports a 1.36-inch panel with 450 x 450 pixels and run on the same OneUI Watch 3 UI.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

The series is powered by the in-house 5nm Exynos W920 SoC paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The smartwatches come with a Bioactive sensor which has multiple monitoring modes like blood oxygen saturation, electrocardiogram, heart rate monitor, electric heart rate sensor, and bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor. The duo can work for up to 40 hours on a single charge.
