Realme has pushed virtual RAM expansion feature to many of its recently launched smartphones. The feature first arrived in the Realme Narzo 30 5G and followed by the Realme X7 Max 5G smartphone. Now, Realme has released the RAM expansion a.k.a Dynamic RAM Expansion feature for the Realme 8 5G smartphone.

The new firmware update carries the version number RMX3085_11.A.19. It brings 2GB of Dynamic RAM Expansion support. For those who are unaware, the feature uses some space of the internal storage and uses it as virtual RAM. It is quite helpful for users with less RAM out of the box.

Apart from this feature, the update brings bug fixes and performance improvements. It also brings the new July 2021 Android security patch.

Realme 8 5G Specifications 

The Realme 8 5G has a 6.5-inch LCD display with an FHD+ resolution. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. It has a 16-megapixel camera at the front for selfies. At the rear, it boasts a triple camera system with 48-megapixel primary lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and lastly a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging technology. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security. It boots on Android 11 out of the box.
