The Chinese market has seen some significant changes in the last few years. Huawei which used to be the market leader is no longer in the top five. Following a poor second quarter, its worst in nine years, a new report for the month of July has surfaced and it too brings new changes.

Things get more interesting as former Huawei subsidiary, Honor, overtakes Apple to grab the fourth position with a market share of 13%. That is nothing short of impressive considering Honor wasn’t in the top five at the end of the second quarter. Apple now sits at the fifth spot with a market share of 12% while Huawei comes in at sixth with an 8% market share.
