Red Magic Watch Vitality Edition is coming with a smaller screen and cheaper price tag

Red Magic announced its first smartwatch earlier this year when it launched the Red Magic 6 smartphones. Now, it has been disclosed that it will launch another one when it unveils the Red Magic 6S Pro. The new smartwatch will arrive as the Red Magic Watch Vitality Edition (or Lite/Youth) and it will be smaller and cheaper than the Red Magic Watch.

An official poster confirming the arrival of the smartwatch shows it will be available in two colors – black and silver – with matching silicone straps. It will have a metal case and two buttons.

The manufacturer has made some changes to the design such as going for a smaller 1.19-inch screen compared to the 1.39-inch screen of the Red Magic Watch. Thankfully, the screen is still AMOLED and there is support for AOD.

The Red Magic Watch Vitality Edition is also lighter at 23 grams as compared to its sibling which weighs 30 grams. Red Magic says the smartwatch will also have support for multiple sports modes and be able to measure multiple health metrics.

While Red Magic is keeping mute about the price, the Chinese Weibo account, WHYLAB, has revealed that the smartwatch is expected to have a launch price of  ¥499 (~$77). For comparison, the Red Magic Watch launched in March for ¥999 (~$93).

The new smartwatch will be announced alongside the Red Magic 6S Pro whose launch is scheduled for tomorrow at 3 PM (China Time).
