The Vivo V1 is Vivo’s first self-developed processor, and it has been confirmed that it will make its debut in the upcoming Vivo X70 series set to launch this week. If you are wondering how big the chipset is, images of it alongside the Snapdragon 888 have surfaced on the web.

The photos which were posted on Weibo by the known Chinese leaker, Digital Chat Station, show the V1 image signal processing chip alongside the 5nm Qualcomm SM8350 a.k.a. Snapdragon 888 processor. As we can see, the Vivo V1 is pretty small when compared to the Qualcomm chipset.

Vivo says the V1 chip will improve the photography experience of the phone(s) it will come with. There are speculations that only the Vivo X70 Pro+ will feature the custom ISP but until there is an official confirmation, it’s best to take it with a pinch of salt.

The Vivo X70 series will launch with a variety of chipsets. The standard model will be available in Exynos 1080 and Dimensity 1200 variants, the X70 Pro will have the Exynos 1080 under its hood, and the X70 Pro+ will ship with the Snapdragon 888+ processor.
