Rumors are rife that the Galaxy Note series is discontinued but Samsung is yet to confirm it. However, earlier this year, DJ Koh hinted that a new Galaxy Note might arrive in 2022. Amidst all these reports, a recent development now once again suggests that the Galaxy Note lineup may be gone for good.

According to a report by GalaxyClub, Samsung Electronics recently renewed trademarks for its smartphone series but left out one. That omitted one is nothing but the ‘Galaxy Note’.

Samsung renewed all other brandings, including Galaxy Z, Galaxy S, Galaxy A, and Galaxy M. If you are wondering why there’s no Galaxy F, then you should know these trademarks are only meant for South Korea where F series phones are not sold.

There’s a chance that the company might restate the trademark when it is ready to release a Galaxy Note device. It is worth noting that the firm also did not renew the branding for Galaxy Tab. This does not mean the tech giant will stop selling tablets as this product category is on the rise after years.

Having said that, even if the Galaxy Note lineup gets canceled, its features will continue to live on in other devices from Samsung. Because before unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold3 with support for S Pen, TM Roh confirmed that more devices will get Galaxy Note features in the future. But we all know that’s not enough for fans.
