iQOO is gradually revealing the key features of the upcoming iQOO Z5. Today, the company took to its Weibo handle to confirm the battery capacity of the smartphone.

As the poster reveals, the iQOO Z5 will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The image also mentions that the large battery will offer 96 hours of music listening, 18.3 hours of video playback, and 10.4 hours of gaming. The 3C certification of the smartphone suggested that it may ship with a 44W fast charger.

Yesterday, the company confirmed that the iQOO Z5 features a punch-hole display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, a DCI-P3 color gamut, and HDR10. Rumors have it that the device is fitted with an LCD panel. For security, it features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Snapdragon 778G chipset will be fueling the device with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It is likely that smartphone may come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of storage.

The Z5 will come preinstalled with iQOO UI based Android 11 OS. The smartphone is likely to sport a 64-megapixel triple camera unit and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It will come equipped with dual stereo speakers that will carry support for Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the device.

iQOO will be announcing the iQOO Z5 on Sept. 23 in China. The lineup also includes Z5 Pro and Z5x, but there is no word on whether these phones will debut alongside the Z5.
