Last month, iQOO unveiled the iQOO 8 series in the Chinese market with flagship specs like Snapdragon 888+ SoC, 120Hz refresh rate, and 120W fast charging support. At the time of launch, the phone was available in limited color options like Racing, Flame, and Legend. Now, iQOO has introduced a new color variant called Photochromic Orange(a.k.a Combustion color).

The main highlight of the new iQOO 8 Photochromic Orange is that it changes color in direct sunlight. The smartphone has a light White finish but when turned towards sunlight, the color of the back panel changes to Orange.

The Photochromic Orange color is priced at CNY 4,199(~$650) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It is already up for sale in China.

The iQOO 8 comes with a 6.56-inch display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It is a punch-hole panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a DCI-P3 color gamut. The smartphone has a 16MP front camera for selfies and has a triple camera setup at the rear. It has a 48MP Sony IMX598 primary lens, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 13MP portrait lens.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It houses a 4,350mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging technology. It boasts VC Liquid Cooling technology and has a stereo speaker setup.
