The iQOO 8 Pro’s Indian variant was spotted at Geekbench and Google Play Console recently, which suggested that iQOO may announce the iQOO 8 Pro in September in India. A tipster has claimed that the company will not be launching the iQOO 8 Pro. Instead, it will introduce the iQOO Z5 smartphone in India. The moniker of the device suggests that it will be succeeding the iQOO Z3 5G that debuted earlier this year.

Reports have revealed the existence of iQOO Z5 and IQOO Z5 Pro smartphones. However, it is unclear whether both handsets will be launching this month. The Indian variant of the iQOO Z5 was spotted with I2018 model number at the IMEI database last month.

Recently, a Vivo smartphone with V2148A model number was approved by China’s TENAA authority. Its IMEI database listing reveals that it will be breaking cover as the iQOO Z5 Pro. Hence, it is expected to launch as iQOO’s first-ever Pro model in the Z-series. Unfortunately, the rumor mill is yet to spill information about the iQOO Z5 duo.

Recently, new Vivo phones with V2130A and V2131A model numbers were spotted at Google Play Console with identical specs like a punch-hole screen with FHD+ resolution, Android 11 OS, Dimensity 900, and 8 GB of RAM. The V2130A’s TENAA certification further revealed that it has a 3,970mAh rated battery, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, a 32-megapixel front camera, and 64-megapixel triple cameras. This model is expected to debut as Vivo S10e soon. Probably, the V2131A handset will be packed with identical specs. The IMEI database listing of the V2131A revealed that it may debut as iQOO Z5x.
