Apple has now confirmed that the company will be hosting its next launch event on 14th September. While the tech giant has not confirmed what devices it plans to launch at this “California Streaming” event, it’s pretty evident that the iPhone 13 series is expected to go official on 14th September.

But the next-generation iPhone isn’t the only product getting launched at the event. Going by the previous record of the company and the rumors, Apple is also set to announce its Watch Series 7 at the same event.

However, a new report claims that the actual launch of the Apple Watch Series 7 could be delayed as the company is facing production issues. Currently, there’s not much information available about what the issues are.

This means that while the Apple Watch Series 7 will be announced next week, the new models of the smartwatches won’t be available for purchase until the end of October. But there’s a possibility that instead of delaying the launch for all the models, Apple could only delay the affected models while the rest of them will be available as usual.

If the reports are to be believed, then Apple isn’t focusing much on the health-related features for the upcoming smartwatch but is dedicating efforts for a new design with flatter edges and improving the hardware specs which includes a new display and a new chip.

This time, the Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to come in 41-millimeter and 45-millimeter variants, and the larger model carrying a screen of 1.9-inch. The display is said to use a new lamination technique for bringing the display closer to the protective glass. This new display is what’s causing the production delay.

Apart from the Series 7 models, Apple is also reportedly working on a successor of the Watch SE which is said to launch next year, along with a rugged model which will be targeted at extreme sports users.
