Motorola has already launched some models of the Edge 20 series of smartphones like the Edge 20 Fusion and the base Edge 20 in India. While the company had confirmed that its higher end Edge 20 Pro will also be making its way to the Indian market, it had yet to confirm the launch date for this model. But now, we have a possible launch date for the new handset.

The American smartphone maker had recently teased the launch of the Edge 20 Pro that stated that the higher end model will be “coming soon” on its official Twitter handle. But now, Flipkart has confirmed that a new Motorola phone will be launching on October 1. In other words, its safe to assume that the Edge 20 Pro is likely the handset in question that will be launching at the start of next month.

As of right now, finer details regarding the device is currently unknown. While the Edge 20 Pro is available in overseas market for a price of 699 Euros, which roughly translates to about 60,360 INR, the company might cut some features to lower the price of the device in India. So, we might see the 12GB of RAM be cut down to 8GB of RAM -for the Indian market.

Other features of the Moto Edge 20 Pro includes a 6.7 inch Full HD+ OLED display with a punch hole for the 32 megapixel selfie camera. This display supports 144Hz refresh rate while the smartphone houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. On the rear, the device features a triple camera setup with a 108 megapixel primary camera, paired with a 16 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and an 8 megapixel telephoto sensor for 5x optical and 50x hybrid zoom. The device is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging and runs Android 11 out of the box.
