Yesterday, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau released an official forum post to reveal how OnePlus will be moving ahead with its OnePlus 2.0 vision. As it is known, OnePlus and OPPO have merged their research and development departments. While OnePlus will continue to operate independently after the merger, its smartphones arriving next year will feature a new UI that will offer the best of OxygenOS and ColorOS. The new OS will be also available for OPPO smartphones. Besides revealing a new unified OS as a part of the OnePlus 2.0 vision, Lau also revealed that its smartphone product portfolio.

Priced above $500, the OnePlus numbered flagship series will feature premium and ultra-premium flagship phones with the latest cutting-edge technologies. The premium flagship phones will be available in global markets. All the other smartphone series from OnePlus will not be available in all the global markets. Instead, the affordable product ranges will be aimed towards select markets.

OnePlus smartphone portfolio

The OnePlus R series, Nord lineup, and Nord CE range will fall in the ~$300 to $500 price bracket.  The R-series will be an entry-level flagship, the Nord lineup will include premium mid-range smartphones, and the Nord CE range will consist of entry-level mid-range handsets.

To recollect, the OnePlus 9R that debuted earlier this year was limited to markets like India and China. The upcoming OnePlus 9 RT is also expected to release in these markets only. The Nord and Nord CE models have been released in India and European markets.

The OnePlus Nord N series priced between ~$100 and $300 will include the most affordable OnePlus handsets. So far, the Nord N models have only been released in North America.
