Chinese smartphone maker vivo is all set to launch the vivo X70 series in India on September 30. Just like the previous generation, the latest-gen will be slightly different than the original models sold in China. One of the devices in the lineup for India has now leaked in live images revealing the software it will be debuting with.

A tipster who goes by the name of @Gadgetsdata (Debayan Roy) on Twitter has shared live pictures of the yet-to-release Indian variant of the vivo X70 Pro. The images tweeted by him showcase the phone in two colors (Nebula, Black).

Most importantly, one of the three images confirms that the handset will run the newly unveiled Funtouch OS 12. However, despite the number 12 in the name, the software will be based on Android 11.

Further, the same image also confirms that the device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-vivo chipset. This particular variant has 8GB physical RAM, 4GB virtual RAM and 256GB internal storage.

For those unaware, the original vivo X70 Pro sold in China features a Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC, while the vanilla vivo X70 uses the custom MediaTek Dimensity 1200-vivo. Another difference is that the OG model runs OriginOS instead of Funtouch OS 12.

At the moment, we are not sure in what other ways the Indian variant of the vivo X70 Pro will differ from the Chinese version. But we expect to learn more about it before the device’s official announcement on September 30.
