The Indian market has been getting several two-wheeler electric vehicles in the recent past and now yet another such product has been launched in India. An Indian EV maker has launched Detel Easy Plus.

The Detel Easy Plus offers a top speed of 25 kilometers per hour and a range of 60 kilometers on a single charge. It is powered by a 250W motor and comes with tubeless tires, drum brakes, and pedals.

It uses powder-coated metal alloy chassis and has a load-carrying capacity of 170 kilograms. There’s a 20Ah battery placed right below the rider’s seat and the company says that charging the battery from 0 percent to 100 percent takes about 4-5 hours. It has a decent ground clearance of 170mm.

In terms of design, the Detel Easy Plus is different from what companies like Ather and Ola are offering. It has a moped-inspired design, which is quite easy to manufacture and could be cheaper as well.

The company is offering a standard one-year warranty and a two-year warranty or up to 40,000km on the battery pack. The Detel Easy Plus eclectic bike comes in two color options — Metallic Red and Silver Grey.

It is priced at ₹41,999 (~$570) including GST, which is cheaper than almost every two-wheeler eclectic vehicle recently launched in the Indian market. For comparison, Ola S1, launched in India last month, has a starting price of ₹99,999.

The Detel Easy Plus can be booked for a token amount of ₹1,999 and the remaining amount needs to be paid by the customer seven days prior to the delivery of the vehicle. It is currently available through a network of booking partners in three states — Haryana, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh.
