Rumors regarding the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra have been surfacing over the last couple of weeks. And now, another report has suggested that the top end model of the flagship series will house an S Pen slot.

According to known tipster IceUniverse, a Dutch publication has stated that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will feature a built in S Pen support. In other words, multiple sources have now revealed that the S Pen will ship along with the Ultra variant this year. This news is also in line with our previous report of the Galaxy S22 Ultra renders which showcased an S Pen slot on the bottom of the device.

If this is true, it would be quite notable considering the South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy Note series usually shipped with S Pen support and a housing slot. Although, since the company did not launch a new Note model this year, the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold3 supported the S Pen. However, both models had users put the stylus inside a case rather than featuring a dedicated slot.

For the Galaxy Note enthusiasts, this might be good news as the high end variant will feature stylus support out of the box and offer various built in functions that they come to expect from a Note smartphone. Although, this implies that the Galaxy S series of flagship devices might be seeing a notable shift in design. This is also in line with another report that we had covered, which stated that the company possibly considering overhauling its Galaxy S lineup into its Note series.
