The 2021 Mi TV Stick was spotted on FCC (via googlechromecast) with a slight change in design over its predecessor. Apart from changes in appearances, it also brings some hardware changes as well, as per the certification. While the remote control itself appears similar to the previous generation, there is a clear difference in networking speeds. The new Mi TV Stick now offers improved downlink and uplink speeds on WiFi, supporting 866.7 Mbps downlink speed using a VHT80 channel and 300Mbps uplink via the HT40 channel.

In other words, users can expect a buffer free experience in 4K content on a stable connection. The speeds are also quite a bit higher than its predecessors 433.3 Mbps of download speed and 150 Mbps of uplink. Under the hood, the new Stick sports an Amlogic S905Y4 paired with a Quad Core Cortex A35 16500+ DMIPS and ARM Mali G31 MP2 GPU that is clocked at 850MHz. This chipset is capable of rendering 4K resolution at 60fps on 10bit.
