It has been a long wait for global fans of Honor who have been expecting the Chinese manufacturer to announce its new phones with Google Mobile Services. Now, that wait will come to an end next month as the Honor 50 series makes its way to Europe.

Honor will announce the Honor 50 series on October 27 and it has already sent out invites for the launch event according to the German blog, Winfuture.de. The Honor 50 5G is already listed on the Honor Germany website and the listing reveals the premium mid-range phone will be available in two configurations – 6+128GB and 8+256GB. Buyers will be able to purchase the phone in Midnight Black, Frost Crystal, Emerald Green, and the recently announced HONOR Code colorway. Unfortunately, the prices were not included.

Alongside the Honor 50 5G, Honor is also expected to launch a second phone called the Honor 50 Lite that will have a 64MP primary camera and 4G LTE instead of 5G. In China, the Honor 50 series has three models – the Honor 50 5G, Honor 50 Pro 5G, and the Honor 50 SE which also has 5G.

The Honor 50 was launched in China in June. The phone has a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a centered punch hole for a 32MP front-facing camera. The primary rear camera is a 108MP sensor and it sits above an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 778G and the Chinese version comes in 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM variants with 128GB or 256GB of storage. The phone also packs a 4300mAh battery, has support for 66W fast charging, and runs Magic UI 4.2 based on Android 11. When it launches in Europe, it should still run Android 11 but come with Google Mobile Services.
