The Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs for desktop PCs might not be arriving anytime soon. A new report has suggested that the new graphics card may not be launched until the second quarter of next year.

According to a YouTube channel called Moore’s Law is Dead, team blue is referring to its laptop GPUs when it talked about the Q1 launch for its Xe HPG (high performance gaming) products. In other words, the Alchemist desktop graphics cards might not arrive until the second quarter. Apparently, the Alchemist laptop GPUs will also launch along with the Alder Lake mobile chips, which hints at capable gaming laptops launching next year, closely followed by the launch of the desktop GPUs soon after.

Although, the delay in release might also be related to the supply chain and other production issues. The YouTuber also shared some new images in the latest video, which showcased a mock up of what these new GPUs might look like. Keep in mind that these are still just renders and not the official model of the GPU itself from Intel. Although, these renders are based on new info from several sources, as per Moore’s Law is Dead.

Furthermore, the renders are based on early engineering sample shots that the leaker had already received in the past. Although, Moore’s Law is Dead did add that most current reference test boards look similar to this early on. So, we have no idea what the final model might look like for the commercial build.
