Apple might be planning on two new iPad Pro models that arrive with low power LTPO OLED displays. These laptops are reportedly set to go on sale sometime in either 2023 or 2024, with one of them likely sporting a 12.9 inch panel.

Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (2021)

Since 2017, the iPad Pro models from the Cupertino based giant have used the ProMotion display, although, these generally have had a smaller range of refresh rates that range between 24Hz and 120Hz. But following the launch of the iPhone 13 Pro, the brand might be looking to switch to LTPO OLED display technology for its tablets that could also translate to iPad Pro supporting a wider range of refresh rates between 10Hz and 120Hz, as per TheElec.

For those unaware, iPad Pro models since 2017 have featured refresh rates between 120Hz, 60Hz, 40Hz, 30Hz, and 24Hz. On the other hand, the newly launched iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max support refresh rate between, 120Hz, 80Hz, 60Hz, 48Hz, 40Hz, 30Hz, 24Hz, 20Hz, 16Hz, 15Hz, 12Hz, and 10Hz as well.

Apple iPad Pro

According to known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone maker has abandoned its plans to release an iPad with an OLED display in 2022, with multiple sources now claiming that a launch date will now be set in 2023 or later. Similarly, DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants) analyst Ross Young also claimed that the first iPad with an OLED display would also be released in 2023.
