OnePlus 9 RT is expected to debut on Oct. 15 in India and China. However, there is no official confirmation yet from the brand. The rumor mill is actively working on revealing the key details of the smartphone. The OnePlus 9 RT is expected to arrive as an updated version of the OnePlus 9R. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has now revealed that the OnePlus 9 RT will come with three main improvements in departments like chipset, camera, and OS.

According to the tipster, the OnePlus 9 RT’s appearance will be similar to the OnePlus 9R. Instead of the Snapdragon 870 chipset, Sony IMX586 48-megapixel main camera, and ColorOS 12, the OnePlus 9 RT in China will be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel primary camera, and ColorOS 12.

It appears that the other specs of the OnePlus 9RT could be identical to the 9R. The handset is expected to arrive with a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED punch-hole display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device may run on ColorOS 12 based Android 11 OS in China.

It is unclear whether it will retain the rear-facing auxiliary cameras such as a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. It may come with a front-facing 16-megapixel camera.

The Snapdragon 888 mobile platform could be assisted by up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. The device could be backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W rapid charging. It is expected to arrive in three colors such as blue, silver, and black. It is likely to be priced between 2,000 Yuan (~$310) and 3,000 Yuan (~$465) in China.
