OnePlus introduced the Snapdragon 870 SoC powered OnePlus 9R as an affordable flagship earlier this year. Multiple reports claimed that an updated version of the 9R will debut this month. Today, OnePlus’ Weibo released an official confirmation that it will be announcing the OnePlus 9RT smartphone at 7:30 PM (local time) on Oct. 13 in China.

A landing page for the OnePlus 9RT is now live on OnePlus China’s website. The official images available on the site has revealed the rear design of the phone. The handset is now up for registrations in the home market.

The images of the OnePlus 9RT show that its camera island looks somewhat different as compared to the 9R. While the front design of the phone is not known, it is likely to retain the punch-hole display, which was made available on the original model. Apart from the silver variant, the 9RT is rumored to arrive in black and blue colors.
