Electronic manufacturer Foxconn has been making effort to enter the emerging EV market. The company recently announced the acquisition of the Ohio factory of embattled US EV startup Lordstown Motors in a deal worth $230 million. Apparently, the Taiwanese company is in the advanced stage of its car manufacturing journey. The Original Device Manufacturer (ODM) had a few days back released a couple of teasers giving us a silhouette view of the EV. The front view of the new car has the name “FOXTRON” inscribed, suggesting that will be the name of the car brand. The company is said to be planning to unveil not just one EV but three electric cars.Foxtron

According to the teaser images, the car is a sedan incorporating sports car elements into the body shape in the style of a four-door coupe. According to visual inspection, the size is expected to be equivalent to that of electric vehicles such as the Weilai ET7. In detail, the new car adopts through-type light strips at the front and rear, which is very technological. In addition, the vehicle will also support remote updates and different levels of automatic driving assistance functions.

In terms of performance, FOXTRON will launch battery packs with capacities of 93Wh, 100Wh, and 116kWh. The output power of the front motor of the model built is 95kW, 150kW and 200kW, and the output power of the rear motor is 150kW, 200kW, 240kW and 340kW.

In a related development, live images of the Foxtron EV have surfaced online. The sleek EV was spotted while it was being transported to the launch venue.
