A couple of months ago, in August, HMD Global had announced a few devices in the Indian market, including Nokia XR20, C30, C20 Plus, G10, and C01 Plus. Apart from C20 Plus, none of those models went on sale in India.

Today, the Finnish company has officially launched a new budget C-series smartphone in the Indian market — Nokia C30.

The smartphone features a 6.82-inch HD+ LCD display that offers 1600 x 720 pixels screen resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Unisoc SC9863A processor, coupled with an IMG8322 GPU.

It comes in two memory variants — 3GB RAM with 32GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage. Both the models have a microSD card slot for expanding the storage capacity up to 256GB.

In the camera department, there’s a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, completing the dual-camera setup on the back. On the front side, it features a 5-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for added protection. As for connectivity options, the smartphone supports Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and has a micro-USB port.

It is running the Android 11 operating system out-of-the-box and is powered by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. The device measures 177.7 x 79.1 x9.9mm and weighs 237 grams.

The Nokia C30 comes in two color options — Green and White. The base model with 3GB RAM is priced at ₹10,999 which is approximately $147 while the 4GB RAM model costs ₹11,999 which converts to about $160.

The smartphone is launched in a strategic partnership with Jio, making it the fourth Nokia smartphone that comes with the benefits of the special JioExclusive program. Customers are eligible to get instant price support of 10% (₹1000 maximum) and will have to pay ₹9999 and ₹10,999 for the 3GB RAM and 4GB variant respectively.
