A couple of months ago, Huawei launched its flagship smartphones — Huawei P50 and P50 in the Chinese market. Since then, rumors about the phone’s global launch keep making rounds and now we know when these devices are launching globally.

Folks at TechRadar claims that Huawei has confirmed with them that the Huawei P50 series flagship smartphones will make a global debut next year, i.e. in 2022. This was apparently revealed by the Chinese tech giant during the launch of the Huawei Note 9 smartphone.

The company has not yet revealed the launch nor, dor has it shared a timeframe for the launch of its flagship smartphones but has just said that the launch of the P50 series for overseas customers will take place early next year.

This indicates that the Chinese tech giant is planning to bring both the devices to the global markets — P50 and P50 Pro. Given the current market conditions, we expect the phones to be available in the European market but not in the US or Canada.

Also, as Huawei is barred from using Google’s services on its devices by the United States, the upcoming devices from the brand will come powered by its own HarmonyOS. While it has been received well in China, it will be interesting to how it works for a global audience.

The Huawei P50 Pro features a 6.6-inch curved OLED display with a screen resolution of 2700 x 1228 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming, and can show up to 1.07 billion colors.

It comes with two primary cameras – a 50-megapixel f/1.8 RGB sensor with OIS and a 40-megapixel f/1.6 Black and White sensor. There’s also a 13-megapixel f/2.2 ultrawide angle camera and a 64-megapixel f/3.5 telephoto camera with OIS. On the front side, there’s a 13-megapixel f/2.4 front-facing camera with support for autofocus and AIS anti-shake.

The device is running the company’s own HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system and is powered by a 4,360mAh battery that supports 66W fast wired charging and 50W wireless fast charging along with support for reverse wireless charging.
