Earlier this year, in the month of February, Huawei had launched its FreeBuds 4i true wireless earbuds in China, which made its way to the United Kingdom about a month later. Now, the Chinese company has officially launched the Huawei FreeBuds 4i TWS earphones in the Indian market, just ahead of the Diwali festival.
In terms of design, the earbuds adopt a similar design to their predecessor — an in-ear design with a long stem which makes them look similar to the Apple AirPods. The headset features a 3D ergonomic design and ear canal close fit.
It has a lightweight body, which reduces the burden to ears and offers a more comfortable wearing experience. Each earbud on the device comes packed with dual microphones to accurately pick up human voices.
It also comes with support for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and the users can also switch between ANC off/on or Awareness Mode (Transparency Mode). Further, the true wireless earphones also have support touch gesture controls.
The Huawei FreeBuds 4i comes packed with a 10mm large dynamic driver that enables a wider range of amplitudes for punchy bass, and the rear chamber design ensures consistency in sound effects.
There’s also a PEEK+PU polymer diaphragm which is professionally tuned to deliver high-quality pop music. The device, which supports Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity, also supports Low-latency mode along with features like pop-up and pair.
Coming to the battery life, each earbud is powered by a 55mAh battery, which is claimed to offer up to 10 hours of music playback with Active Noise Cancellation turned off and up to 7.5 hours with ANC feature enabled.
For voice calls, the endurance drops to 6.5 hours and 5.5 hours respectively. The charging case, which packs a 215mAh battery, increases battery life up to 22 hours. It can be charged using a USB Type-C port.
The Huawei FreeBuds 4i comes in four color options — Ceramic White, Carbon Black, Red, and Silver Frost. It is priced at ₹7,990 (~$106) and will be available exclusively through the online marketplace Amazon from 27th October. As a part of the Huawei Diwali Offer, the company is offering an instant discount of ₹1,000 (~$13) till 5th November.
