Design

The Redmi Note 11 Pro introduces a new design with flat borders just like the latest iPhones. It is a bit less ergonomic but more trendy and it makes the phone look more beautiful. Both the phones are made with a glass back and they have a front glass protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is thinner and lighter because it houses a smaller battery, but the overall dimensions are more or less the same. Note that the Redmi Note 10 Pro features the IP53 certification making it dust resistant and splash resistant.

Display

FRom the display point of view, there are no changes between these two generations. The panels used for these two phones are exactly the same: an AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), the HDR10 certification, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The displays are protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and, despite being AMOLED, they do not include an in-display fingerprint reader. The fingerprint scanner is placed at the side, on the power key. In both cases, you get a punch hole placed centrally, right under the earpiece.

Hardware/Software

The most important difference between Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro related to the hardware department is 5G: the Redmi Note 11 Pro supports the 5G connectivity, while its predecessor does not. While the new model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G mobile platform, the older one is fueled by the Snapdragon 732G. The Dimensity 920 is actually much more powerful than Snapdragon 732G, but we are still talking about a midrange processor. The SoC is paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage on the Redmi Note 10 Pro, while the Redmi Note 11 Pro features up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. Despite they belong to two different generations, they both run Android 11 out of the box, but the Redmi Note 11 Pro ships with a more recent MIUI 12.5, while its predecessor has MIUI 12.

Camera

The Redmi Note 11 Pro is actually a downgrade if we talk about cameras, but it is just a slight downgrade and it only regards secondary sensors. The main camera does not change: it remains a 108 MP sensor with an f/1.9 focal aperture. Even the 8 MP ultrawide sensor remains the same. The Redmi Note 10 Pro has a 5 MP macro camera and a 2 MP depth sensor, while the Redmi Note 11 Pro has just a 2 MP telephoto macro camera which is more disappointing in terms of photo quality. Even the front camera is the same 16 MP sensor on both phones.

Battery

The Redmi Note 11 Pro provides a slightly bigger battery with a capacity of 5160 mAh. If you do not enable 5G, thanks to the 6 nm production process of the Dimensity 920, you should obtain a slightly higher battery life. You also get faster charging speeds thanks to a 67W fast charging technology.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro: Price

The starting price of the Redmi Note 11 Pro for the Chinese market is €220/$255, while the Redmi Note 10 Pro used to start from €260/$300, but it is currently available with a way more affordable price tag than Redmi Note 11 Pro.
