Korean tech giant Samsung has announced yet another affordable mid-range smartphone under the Galaxy A-series. The model is dubbed Samsung Galaxy A22s and has been announced in Russia but wait, it is just a Galaxy A22 5G with a new stylized name.
In terms of the specifications, the Galaxy A22s 5G merges with the A22 5G as it packs a 6.6-inch TFT LCD screen with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 pixel and support for 90Hz refresh rate. The display houses a waterdrop notch that holds the selfie camera.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which comes along with a 5G modem. The processor is paired with 4GB RAM while there is 64GB /128GB internal storage options that are both expandable.
For photography, there is a triple camera setup at the rear aspect consisting of a 48MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there is a 13MP sensor. In terms of battery life, the Galaxy A22 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging over a USB-C port.
The phone runs on the Android 11-based OneUI 3.1 and packs a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded with the power button. The phone also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.
Samsung is yet to announce the pricing and availability details of the Galaxy A22s 5G but it is expected to come in Black, Mint, and White colors.
