Honor has confirmed that the company will be launching its next-generation Honor 60 series smartphones at a launch event on 1st December. Ahead of the official launch, almost everything related to the phones has been leaked.

Now, just a couple of days ahead of the official announcement, the China-based brand has shared a new teaser video that showcases the phone’s camera module design and reveals some key features of the device.

The video teaser reveals that the Honor 60 series will have an AI Super-Sensing camera lens on the front side which will have support for camera gestures. You will be able to take pictures by high-fiving the front camera. It also appears that flipping the palm changes the front camera to the rear camera.

There will be support for some additional gesture-based controls, including waving and making a fist, among others, giving you a more convenient option for capturing photos.

The teaser also shows the smartphone in all its glory, showcasing the four-side curved display on the device with narrow bezels and a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera right at the top-center position.

Honor 60 series hands-on

It carries forward the ring design for the camera module that we saw in the Honor 50 series but this time, the company has doubled down with two ring designs for the camera. The teaser shows the “Starry Night” color option of the smartphone.

As for the specifications, based on the leaks so far, the Honor 60 and 60 Pro will come with an AMOLED display with Full HD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The phones are likely to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset.

For photography, the devices are expected to arrive with a 50-megapixel selfie camera and a 108-megapixel main camera on the back. Running Android operating system with a custom UI, both phones will come with support for 66W fast charging.
