The iQOO 8 series debuted in China in August. The lineup is being long-rumored to make its way to India. But unfortunately, the devices are yet to make their entry into the country. Looks like they won’t come to the region after all as we have now started hearing about the iQOO 9 series launch in the country.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the iQOO 9 series will launch in India by either late January 2022 or early February 2022. This piece of information comes from the publication’s industry sources.

The sources say that the lineup will include multiple models, such as a vanilla variant and a Pro/Legend variant. One of them is also tipped to have support for 120W fast charging.

Unfortunately, no one has any idea about the specifications of these handsets. However, there’s a chance that the top model could be powered by the newly unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

As of now, we only know a couple of model numbers of the series. The Chinese variant of the vanilla iQOO 9 will arrive with model number V2171A. Whereas, the Indian variant of the iQOO 9 Pro is expected to come with model number I2022. These details are courtesy of the IMEI database.

Having said that, what are your expectations of the iQOO 9 series? Do you think it will bring notable upgrades over its predecessor? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
