Xiaomi is expected to debut the Xiaomi 12 series by the end of this month. Ahead of that, the company might release yet another Xiaomi 11/Mi 11 series phone. Let’s take a look at what this upcoming smartphone is all about.
According to a report by Xiaomiui, Xiaomi could soon launch a handset called ‘Mi 11 LE’ in China. Yes, you read it right. The MIUI code lists the device with Mi branding instead of the new Xiaomi branding.
The phone’s codename (Lisa) from codebase and model number (2107119DC) from TENAA reveal that it will be nothing but the already released Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. But for some reason, it will be sold under a new name in the company’s home country.
That’s not all, a TikToker from China has posted a video disclosing that this smartphone will launch on December 9. Lastly, Xiaomiui says that the device will most likely ship with V12.5.6.0.RKOCNXM based on Android 11.
Although the handset is listed as Mi 11 LE in MIUI code, there’s a high chance that it may go official as Xiaomi 11 LE 5G in China. At present, we are not sure what LE stands for. Probably, it means ‘Lite Edition’. For those unaware, the NE in Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE stands for ‘New Edition’.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE (aka Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G in India) is merely a Mi 11 Lite 5G with a Snapdragon 778G instead of Snapdragon 780G. Whereas, the yet-to-release Mi 11 LE will be the Chinese variant of this phone.
