According to reliable leaker @OnLeaks (via 91Mobiles), the realme 9i will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. This chipset will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

On the front, the device will sport a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole at the top left corner. Since the panel will be LCD, there will be a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Talking about optics, the handset will house a triple camera setup on the rear consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP tertiary sensor. For selfies and video calls, it will use a 16MP shooter.

As for ports, the phone will come with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. Last but not least, it will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Although the tipster does not say, going by the chip, the device should be limited to 4G connectivity. The only thing that’s not known is the handset’s software. It’s not clear whether it will ship with Android 11 or Android 12.

The realme 9i is expected to launch in January 2022.
