Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update for two more devices. These phones are called Redmi 9T and Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. The former is sold in international markets, while the latter is exclusive to China.
Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil MIUI 13 in the coming days. However, there are still multiple handsets out there that are yet to be upgraded to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.
The update is currently rolling out to the following regional variants of the listed smartphones with the mentioned build numbers.
-
Redmi 9T
-
Redmi K40 Gaming Edition
- China – V12.5.12.0.RKJCNXM
Like any other OTA software update, the latest system update for these phones is also being rolled out in batches. Therefore, it may take some time to reach every user.
That being said, the Redmi 9T is originally known as Redmi Note 9 4G in China. This version of the handset has already received the update in China. At the same time, the variant sold in India as Redmi 9 Power is yet to get the update just like the remaining regional variants of Redmi 9T.
On the other hand, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition also goes by the name of POCO F3 GT in India. The POCO version of the device should receive the update in the coming days.
