Earlier this week OnePlus started rolling out the new OxygenOS 12 update based on the Android 12 operating system for the OnePlus 9 and 9 pro smartphones. Just days after, the company is pulling the update after getting reports about bugs and issues from users.

The China-based company said to Android Police that it is aware of the issues caused by the OxygenOS 12 update and added that the software team is working to fix them. Meanwhile, the company is suspending the update and will release a new version soon.

Some of the bugs affecting the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro smartphones include trouble with calls, bad animations, broken autofill, slower Wi-Fi speed, and more. It is really disappointing to see such a buggy stable release despite several rounds of beta testing. While the company has promised to soon release a new version of the update, a specific date or a timeline has not been revealed yet.

For those who are unaware, OxygenOS 12 is basically a custom skin on top of Oppo’s ColorOS. This is also the first time the brand’s devices have been upgraded from the traditional OxygenOS to this new Oppo-made version.

It is believed that the majority of the issues are coming from switching from OxygenOS to ColorOS and various settings are not transitioning properly. Some reports indicate that the factory resetting the phone after updating seems to fix the issues.
