South Korean electronic giant LG has unveiled what it says is its first gaming laptop. The new laptop model is dubbed LG UltraGear17G90Q and shows the company is looking to get into the emerging gaming hardware industry. We recall that not too long ago, the company announced the UltraGear GP9 Gaming speaker which it says is its first gaming speaker. LG UltraGear17G90Q gaming laptop

The new LG UltraGear17G90Q gaming laptop features a 17-inch IPS LCD display with a 1080p resolution and a 300Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake H CPU paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card, an area where the laptop beats the LG GRAM laptop. The GeForce RTX 3080 inside the new gaming laptop is said to be the fastest GPU currently offered by Nvidia for laptops. The gaming laptop will come with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The gaming laptop also comes with four different ports at the rear including an HDMI and Ethernet port. The gaming rig also packs a 93Wh battery, a 1080p resolution-supporting webcam, and features an RGB keyboard. The laptop also comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded with the Power button. The rear casing is made from aluminum with a single purple gray color offering.LG UltraGear17G90Q The laptop also comes with two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, one of which is a USB 4 port. There is also a headphone jack and a microSD card slot. The laptop charges via a dedicated DC input port.

LG is yet to announce the pricing and availability details. The company did hint that it will provide more details at CES 2022 on January 4th. however, the US and South Korea will get the laptop first beginning in early 2022.
