Yesterday, iQOO unveiled the iQOO Neo5s and iQOO Neo5 SE smartphones in China. It has also taken off covers from a mid-ranger called the iQOO U5. It is speculated that January 2022 will see the arrival of the iQOO 9 series. Tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to share some information on the display of the iQOO 9 series.

It appears that the iQOO 9 Pro may feature the same display that was made available on the iQOO 8 Pro. It may feature a 6.78-inch curved edge AMOLED display that offers a Quad HD+ resolution. On the other hand, the vanilla iQOO 9 may feature a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display that produces Full HD+ resolution. Both phones could be equipped with a Samsung E5 screen with a centrally positioned punch-hole.

Previous reports have revealed that the iQOO 9 Pro may house a 4,700mAh battery. The display size of the vanilla is not clear yet. Both devices are expected to arrive with support for 120W fast charging. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will power the iQOO 9 series.

Like the iQOO 8 Pro, the 9 Pro is also expected to feature a micro-gimbal PTZ camera. It is yet to be confirmed whether the vanilla model will also feature a micro-gimbal assisted camera. The iQOO 9 series is rumored to come with a better heat dissipation unit.

For an enhanced gaming experience, the iQOO 9 series is expected to feature the second-generation independent display chip, dual-pressure shoulder buttons, and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Since the company has just announced Snapdragon 8-series Neo branded phones, it is likely that the company may take some more time to unveil the iQOO 9 lineup. Probably, it may go official towards the end of January 2022.
