Huawei P50 Pro, the current flagship smartphone from the Chinese technology giant, was first launched in July last year. The device is now all set to make its global debut tomorrow, i.e. on 12th January.
In the latest development, the company has confirmed that the Huawei P50 Pro will get launched in Germany on 26th January. As of now, it’s not known if the device will be available for pre-order from that day or the company will start shipping it.
Given that Huawei is still under sanctions imposed by the United States and barred from using Google’s services, the smartphone will ship without the Google Mobile Services. It is likely to run the company’s own EMUI 12 based on open-source Android. In the Chinese market, the phone is running the company’s own HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system.
Internally, the device is expected to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with 4G-only connectivity support. This is unlike the Chinese model which is powered by the Kirin 9000 5G SoC.
The Huawei P50 Pro comes with a 6.6-inch OLED display that offers a screen resolution of 1228 x 2700 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. As for the memory, the device packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, there’s a 50-megapixel primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8 and OIS, coupled with a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor. On the front, there’s a 13-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling. It is powered by a 4,360mAh battery and supports 66W wired and 50W wirelessly charging.
